Thursday night when we had all that snow fall, which wasn't too bad actually, I had to get out there again to pick up my daughter from school. She's been practicing really hard for her talent show. On the side note, she plays the guitar really good! I wish I knew how to play music, lol. Oh well, I'm proud of her. She's a good kid and it's refreshing to see them do something they are passionate about.
After I picked her up, I had to stop by Walgreens to get some bottled water because we were completely out of drinking water. Of course, I decided to venture into beauty isle just to check if there is anything interesting. I saw that Aveeno products were on sale and here I go again with my Aveeno hand cream, LOL! If you seen my previous post, I picked up the wrong product at CVS because the packaging of the CVS hand cream looked just like it. I swear, I'm not the only one who loves this Aveeno hand cream because with the sale I had a hard time finding two of these since they were BOGO 50% off.
Anyways, for my BOGO product I decided to get the Aveeno Positively Nourishing Body Wash Blackberry Vanilla. OMG, this body wash smells soo soo good! Please check it out if you get a chance. I love the sweet fruity scent of this body wash. I also like the fact that it's not obnoxiously sweet smelling.
So far that was all that I found interesting, and then when I passed by the after Christmas clearance section, I found these two eyeshadow palettes.
They are the Glitterazzi's Journal palettes from the brand Profusion. I don't really hear people talk about this brand. I, myself, wasn't familiar with it. But I have to say, it was the packaging that drew my attention. Aren't they just cute or what? Shiny crocodile faux leather like cover with a cute side bow <333. When I took a peak at what's inside, I thought hmm, nice colors! Each of these palettes had 10 colors in them. It was on clearance for $1.49 each! so I decided to get them. If I end up not liking them, well I won't feel too bad since they were dirt cheap!
The black palette had darker shades and a nice range of colors. The texture of these shadows feel somewhat creamy but they don't feel that smooth. Nonetheless, to my surprise they are very pigmented! It says on the packaging that they can be used wet or dry. Pretty cool! I like the versatility. My favorite colors in this palette is the dark green and the dark purple.
The red palette had mostly pink colors and the textures and formula of the shadows is the same as the black palette. My favorite colors are the pinkish purple and the brownish purple.
All of the eyeshadow are very shimmery/metallic. I haven't tried them wet but they may look even more amazing when wet. With dry application the pigmentation is quite impressive already. I did a makeup look without a primer and they turned out great! I will do a separate post for the makeup look. I would still recommend the use of a good primer if you want to wear these out to prevent creasing and ensure that the shadows last. These two palettes were a HIT! I can't believe how little I paid for it. If you can find them at your local Walgreens, I say give them a try!
That's it for my little haul. Anyone tried the Profusion eyeshadows? If so, what are your thoughts on them?
