China Glaze Prismatic Chrome Glitters Swatches

Hello beautifuls,

I'm back again with more new goodies. A few days ago, I placed an order on Amazon for this new China Glaze collection. I bought the whole collection, which consist of 6 polishes, for $13.92 and $5 shipping. That's like paying $3.15 a bottle. Pretty good deal, considering they retail for $6-7 each. I bought them last friday and received them yesterday. Shipping was lightening fast and everything was packaged with care. If you are interested in getting these from the same seller, here's the link http://www.amazon.com/China-Glaze-Prismatic-Glitters-Collection/dp/B007IY4ADY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333509839&sr=8-1

This collection is to be released in stores some time this month and if you didn't know it already, it is very similar to the Wet N Wild Be Jeweled Collection.

So last night, I came home late from work and was super excited when I found my package in the mail box. I was trying to figure how to take better pictures of these polishes. If you follow my blog, I normally take pictures of my polishes with the bottle lying down. But I think that may change from now on. Last night, my pictures came out super nice with the bottle standing up. These are by far the best pictures I've taken with this new camera. All I gotta say is under the right lighting, setting, and angle, it can take pretty amazing pictures. See for yourself. I had to restrain myself from posting more since I gotta show off some swatches too.

Swatches on the nail wheel from left to right (2 coats each):

  • Full Spectrum
  • Liquid Crystal
  • Optical Illusion
  • Polarized
  • Prism
  • Ray-Diant
I'm not the best when it comes to describing products and since it's a pretty hectic week for me, working all these extra hours just drains my brain so I'm not going to go into the details because these glitters have so much going on that I can't even think the right words to describe them. I will do a separate post with swatches on my nails and I promise I will make an effort to give you a better description.

Here I have swatches over a black polish in the same order above. I only did one coat for the glitters.

The nail wheel on top has swatches from Wet N Wild Bejeweled collection and the bottom nail wheel has swatches of the Prismatic Chrome. I don't know if you can tell from the picture but the Primatic Chrome packs a lot more punch with the glitters and you can get an opaque coverage with just two coats, whereas the Be Jeweled would need 3 coats. Another thing is the glitters in Be Jeweled seem to be more fine. You should be able to see on the picture that the texture of the Prismatic Chrome looks more gritty. They also don't feel as smooth as the Be Jeweled glitters.

In this picture, swatches were done over a black polish and the top nail wheel has Wet N Wild Bejeweled swatches and bottom wheel has the Prismatic Chrome.

Overall, if you are a fan of glitter polishes, you NEED to add these to your collection. They are beautiful and just not your typical glitter. If you are having a hard time locating the Wet N Wild Be Jeweled collection, these Prismatic Chrome would make a nice substitute. Both are equally beautiful but I have to admit that I prefer the less gritty texture of the Be Jeweled polishes better.

Do you plan on getting these instead of the Wet N Wild Be Jeweled?

    1. Thank you. That one coat is only over the black polish but on their own you'll need 2 coats.
