Small Fashion Haul - New shoes and New Jacket
Today, I didn't go to work due to my eye infection so I spent most of my day at home. I was supposed to make a trip to the post office to send out a package but was reluctant to go outside because the snow started to come down pretty good but I knew I had to so after it stopped I forced myself to go. We didn't get a lot of snow but it was a bit slippery.
On my way back from the post office, I remembered that I had a $10 coupon I needed to use. But anyways, I'm going to start off by the most exciting part of this little haul.
I purchased these adorable orange heels from DOTS. The moment I saw them I knew I was going to bring these home. I was so lucky they had the last pair in my size. Yep, this sure is a sign that we were definitely meant to be. These were sold for only $24.00 and the quality looks pretty decent. It's made out of faux suede fabric, with two toned orange and faux leather ankle strap and trims. The heels is pretty high (about 5 1-2 inches) and they were thick. There is a 1 1/2 inch platform, which isn't too chunky and I like that much better. They feel quite comfortable to my surprise. I'm sooo in love with it. I love everything about it...the design and the color. I'm so happy to add this to my shoe collection.
This is a size 8 but runs slightly bigger for me, which is fine cause I don't like to break them in, hahah lol. My feet usually give up before I can stretch them out. Ugh yeah the trouble we women have to go through for these darn cute shoes.
The secont store that I went to was Fashion Bug. Honestly, I rarely shop there if it wasn't for the coupon, I probably wouldn't have thought of going there cause I rarely find something that I like. The $10 coupon is good toward a $25.00 purchase. That's a pretty good deal if you ask me. I spotted these cute pink flats for $8.74. They have a quilted pattern and black trimming, a little bow, and leopard prints soles. How cool is that? The tip of the shoes has a shinny patent leather like material. As far as comfort goes, I would say it's average. I guess you can't expect much for less than $10.00.
Another awesome deal I found at Fashion Bug is this military green jacket. It fits me perfectly and I like the style and color. It was originally $79.99 and I got it on sale for $23.99! Talk about saving!
It's well-made, the fabric is soft like fleece but feels a lot nicer than fleece. It's also lined so there is a decent thickeness to it.
When I went to the register to pay for my merchandise, my total was $34.57. I thought sweet! With the coupon, that would be an amazing saving! BUT the clerk told me that my coupon is only valid towards regular priced items. BOOO! Way to ruin the fun. I was getting exciting for nothing! Don't you guys just hate those fine print that are are so small you can barely read them. Oh well, whatever, I still scored some pretty good deal on my shopping trip, which wasn't supposed to happen but did, lol.
That's it for my haul. Hope you enjoyed.
