Yesterday and today I gave away a lot of nail polishes to good homes, to sisters and friends who can show them a bit more love than I did because my nail polish hoarding was getting out of hand. Funny thing is old habit just don't quit and I'm hoarding some new ones just as quickly as I gave away my old ones.
Speaking of nail polishes, I have for you swatches of these duo that I picked up at TJ Maxx not long ago for either $5 or $6. I couldn't resist the deal. When I swatched them I was like ehhh they look like something I already have! lol.
Sea How Far You Go is a shimmery sheer cool-toned gold with a greyish duo-tone to it. It's gorgeous though. I love this kind of gold polish. It's not too bright or flashy but it doesn't go unnoticed either. Formula was very easy to work with but you do need at least 3 coats in order to get a decent coverage and minimal visible nail lines. Even with 3 coats they are slightly noticeable but still look alright I think.
Best Pink Ever is a sheer jelly berry pink with some lovely sparkling pink and blue shimmers. Looks absolutely stunning in the bottle but on the nails, it loses that depth and glow that it has in the bottle. Formula is thin and applies very easily. I think I'll like it more as a layering polish than on its own.

DeleteOH MY! Sea how far you go is truly goddess like! I can see that with an all white dress with gold trim! Soo beautiful, the other shade is a bit too bright for me in the sense that it looks more like a color and texture that I would get for a much younger girl to paint her nails with!
ReplyDeleteI don't really know how people categorize a certain color with age. I thought pink nails was appropriate for all ages.
DeleteThey're both okay, but nothing different from a lot of other bottles I already own! I should probably clean out my stash too. I can't bear to part with most of them though, even if they are close dupes...:P
ReplyDeleteI need to stop buying stuff I don't need that I find on sale, lol. I could use that money toward something I actually need even if it isn't on sale. There are still a lot of nail polishes I thought of giving away but haven't yet. I guess a little at a time.
