Love & Beauty Purple Passion Swatch

I took over a hundred pictures yesterday and just got done editing. I feel like my back is going to break now. At least, for the next few days, I can focus a little more on typing my reviews and I have some nice reviews coming up :).

I loved the rainbow colored glitters in this purple jelly base polish. I thought they made a pretty combo so I picked it up from Forever 21.
To my horror, when I tried swatching this polish, I ran into a problem. The formula is thick and goopy and I couldn't spread the color and glitters evenly. I had to use a few drops of nail thinner in order to thin it down to make my swatches look at least decent. Even so I wasn't completely pleased with it. It seems to be possessed by the goop monster so it still dragged a bit after I thinned it down. What a shame! This had the potential to be an amazing nail glitter but the formula is really a nightmare to work with. You'd definitely need to be patient and work carefully with your brush in order to keep the application even.

Oh and did I mention that if  you plan to pick up this polish, make sure you have some nail polish thinner available.

Do you have one of those love and hate nail polish? I think this is one of them for me. Love the look, hate the  formula.

  1. Too bad the formula isn't great as it's so pretty. I have a Love & Beauty holo glitter and the formula is perfect.

    1. I have a few other Love & Beauty polishes but so far this is the only one that gave me so much grief lol

  2. It is soooo pretty - bummer it's goopy. Every L'Oreal polish I've tried that isn't a straight crème, has been a B!t*h to work with so I love/hate L'Oreal polishes (I swear I'm the only one).

    2. Jasmine, you are not the only one. L'Oreal is one of the drugstore polishes that I dislike a lot! L'Oreal polishes just don't work for me...luckily I only own two, but they both gave me problems, so I refuse to buy any more. My niece told me she needed some polishes, I thinned out my stash some and she'll be getting them along with some others. Hopefully she can make them work.

  5. It is absolutely beautiful, but that formula would be a no go for me! I hate polish that I have to jump through hoops for, not worth it for me. Lucky for you that Forever21 polish is relatively cheap.

    1. Yeah lucky it was cheap or else it would have gone right back to the store. I think I need to add more thinner.
