Essie Smokin' Hot Swatches

There's definitely something smokin' in here. I mean the color. Smokin' Hot is a smoked dark grey purple with creme finish. Opaque in two coat. First coat is a little streaky but the second one really does a good job at erasing them.

I picked this up at CVS last week. I think the $2.00 coupon kinda forced me to, lol. I mean how often are you going to get a $2.00 coupon for an Essie nail polish? Unfortunately, that CVS had a pretty sad color selection. This was the only one that caught my eyes and that I know for sure I don't have a color like it. Now that I think about it, I could've saved the coupon and drive 10 miles do a different CVS but I was like nahhh forget it. Don't feel like driving.

    1. Yes it is. It's one of those I like to call sophisticated dark nail polish.

    1. I've had problems with Essie's formula of the few I've bought, I've had streaking issues with all except "Shine of the Times", but that's because that one is a flakie. They have a nice palette of colors, but I'm just not a fan of the formula.

    2. Yeah the cream finish have a tendency to streak, especially the light colors. Otherwise, I've found most of them doable.
