Wow, would you look at that duochrome in action!
A couple weeks ago I was shopping at Walgreens and spotted Black Tie, a dark charcoal grey with purple and teal duochrome. I thought the color looked interesting in the bottle. It reminded me of a couple nail polishes that I already have ( Anise Pearls for the Devil and Borghese Stellar Note) and I was worried that it's going to look the same but being the nail junkie that I am, I decided to give it a try anyways.
I'm so glad that I did because the duochrome is gorgeous and the teal shimmers add a mysterious glow to it. Not as strong as I would like it to be but it's there. Pearls for the Devils and Stellar Note do not have the same duochrome effect.
The first coat is a bit sheer and streaky but the second coat pretty much does the job. I didn't have any problem with application.
I never hear anyone talk about this polish, which is a surprise. So if you love duochrome like I do, you may want to check this one out.
